About Rodney
I am a dedicated and experienced Mathematics teacher with over 17 years of teaching across Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia. I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their learning and develop strong problem-solving skills. In my classroom, I create a structured and supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, take risks, and persist through challenges. I hold high expectations while providing clear guidance and support to help every student succeed. My approach to tutoring is structured, supportive, and student-focused. I begin by identifying each student’s strengths and gaps, then tailor lessons to build understanding step by step. I use clear explanations, worked examples, and guided practice, followed by independent problem-solving to build confidence.
Lessons typically run for 60 minutes and include concept teaching, practice, and review. I use exam-style questions and real curriculum contexts (ACARA/QCAA) to prepare students effectively.
I have over 17 years of teaching experience across Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia, teaching Mathematics (Years 7–12) and senior Physics.
My lessons are suitable for secondary students (Years 7–12), including those needing support, extension, or exam preparation.
