About Mia
I currently attend the University of Cambridge where I read Natural Sciences, specialising in Earth Sciences and Quantitative Environmental Sciences.
In 2022, I received an ATAR of 99.75. I completed the International Baccalaureate, earning a 44 with 7s in all my subjects (HL Mathematics AA, HL English, HL Chemistry, SL Physics, SL Psychology, Spanish Ab Initio), contributing towards a strong academic background in both STEM and humanities fields.
I have extensive experience with tutoring and teaching.
I have conducted private tutoring, aiding students to achieve their goals. I tutored two IGCSE students and increased their grades from a C to an A*. I also tutored two students for the British boarding school entrance exams and both were accepted to their respective goal schools.
I founded and was President of the Senior Mathematics Society at my school where I taught concepts beyond school curricula such as modular arithmetic and proofs in number theory and calculus. I also helped students explore additional problem-solving content such as Mathematics Olympiad questions and Linguistic problems. I am proud of creating a comfortable environment for debate and analysis, and nurturing a love for Mathematics in others.
As Academic Prefect at my school, I established a Peer-Tutoring Program to assist students learning English and Mandarin which required me to enlist, vet, and help train students who wanted to be a tutor. This helped me to pinpoint the necessary skills required to be a standout tutor.
I am deeply passionate about helping others and providing them with the best opportunity to excel.

I am super versatile and will tailor my sessions to my student's needs. Whether you need support with schoolwork or are looking for extension, I am more than happy to help. I tutor students aged 12-18.
