About Lucie-Grace
I initially was training to become a teacher whilst I was at university. I completed placement days and online modules. When I started as a full-time maths teacher in September 2022, I struggled to manage 34 students in one class. I've since started focusing on being a private tutor and am enjoying it immensely. My favourite part is when students tell me about questions they've gotten completely right in school after I taught them that topic.
Outside of my tutoring, I spend a lot of time reading. So far this year I have read 77 books out of my goal of 100.

I have a degree in Maths and Psychology and have experience in a classroom as a maths teacher, as well as a private online maths tutor. I cover primary, 11+, KS3 and GCSE maths content. My lessons are typically 1 hour long, but this can be changed based on your needs
I start all my lessons with a 5-a-day starter covering 5 random topics. This lets us check your confidence in answering different types of questions. I then explain a topic and work through an example to demonstrate the method. Then I let the student (you) complete a similar question with help from me. I repeat this method and slowly reduce the support I give each time so that you begin answering the question on your own.
