About Nicolas
I approach teaching maths and physics in a straightforward, supportive way. For me, the focus is on helping students feel more confident with their work and giving them clear steps to follow when a topic feels difficult. I understand that not every student will love these subjects — and that’s okay. My role is to make them more manageable, less intimidating, and to show how problems can be approached logically. If a student does want to aim higher, whether that’s stretching beyond the basics or preparing for exams, I can provide the guidance and structure to help them get there. Above all, I aim to create lessons where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building up their skills.

Maths and physics often feel complicated, but with the right approach they can make sense and even be enjoyable. My lessons focus on building a solid understanding of each topic, step by step, so you can feel more confident tackling problems on your own. I believe real progress comes from grasping why something works, not just memorising formulae. That’s why I use clear explanations, worked examples, and plenty of practice questions to strengthen both understanding and problem-solving skills. If you’re preparing for GCSEs or A-Levels, I can also support you with past papers and exam-style questions — but always with the goal of making sure the underlying ideas feel clear and logical first. My priority is helping you develop both confidence and curiosity in maths and physics, while also giving you the tools you need to succeed in assessments when the time comes.
