About Toby
First Class graduate of Economics from the University of Nottingham.
I have previous teaching experience through the Army Cadet Force, volunteering during Sixth Form, and tutoring online. I have completed more than 30 online lessons with exclusively 5* reviews.
My non teaching experience includes working for the Bank of England on a research project, interning with a Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory Boutique, and being elected as the Head of Sponsors for the Economics and Finance Society. Outside of academics, I box and was a member of the University's competitive Boxing Team, and rock climb regularly.

My lessons are aimed at students going for the top grades who want to develop an understanding of and ability to articulate the nuances of the subject on an intuitive level.
I have developed lesson plans which aim to develop your understanding of the subject to a point at which you understand the wider relevance of each topic and its impact on other areas. Nevertheless, I'm open to more fluid, conversational lessons, if you would find this more helpful.
Furthermore, I'm fully aware of the difficulty that you face in trying to find the best tutor for your money. As such, I would like to offer you a free meeting during which you can find out about my style of teaching and whether we will be a good fit.
I am also open to any degree of input that parents or teachers would like to have in the process and I would be keen to share our progress with you regularly so that you can continue to assess whether we are a good fit in the longer term.
