I encourage the student to be open about their weaknesses within the subject by sharing my personal long path towards receiving the desired grade. It requires a lot of hard work and motivation. My lessons will be based on exam practice as that’s what maths is truely about. Once you are thoroughly presented with the methodology of how to receive the result to a question, the key to mastering it is not only by memorising but also by actually understanding the steps of what you’re doing, then applying it to several different types of questions of different difficulties. Gaining confidence in a complicated topic is the key to growing a “I can do it” mindset.

Sandra helped me throughout my gcse maths course. Her service was outstanding even in some of the hardest topics in maths. Before I was tutored by Sandra my confidence was low and I was achieving D and E grades afraid I was not going to pass. When Sandra began tutoring me, I found the confidence to try every question with the guidance Sandra was giving me. I managed to pass maths with a B, if it wasn’t for Sandra I wouldn’t have passed.
