As a math student at the University of Toronto, I'm very comfortable with topics ranging from times tables to linear algebra. This isn't my first time tutoring, either! Hi there! I'm Amir, and I teach high school, middle school, and elementary school mathematics. Whether you need help with homework questions, exam review, or preparation for upcoming courses, I'm ready to ensure that you have the skills and the confidence to excel. I typically start off by getting to know your strengths and weaknesses by trying some preliminary problems. From there, I design personalized strategies that take advantage of your strengths to help you understand concepts and problems that you're less comfortable with. I also like to explain the theory behind the strategies I teach you—while knowing how to solve a particular problem can be very useful, if you have the right intuition, you can figure out any problem, even ones the likes of which you've never seen before.
