About Zoe
My passion for mathematics began with curiosity about how abstract symbols can describe real systems with surprising power. I earned a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics and later an M.Sc in Computational Mathematics, experiences that helped me appreciate both theoretical depth and modern applications. Over 9 years of teaching, I have guided students through challenging topics by making concepts approachable, structured, and meaningful.
I believe strong math teaching requires patience, clarity, and encouragement. My lessons focus on understanding the “why” behind formulas, so students gain confidence rather than relying on memorization. Whether a learner needs foundational rebuilding or advanced academic challenge, I provide steady support tailored to their pace and goals.
Outside tutoring, I stay engaged with mathematics through problem exploration, applied modeling, and continued study of mathematical methods. Teaching is deeply rewarding because I see students transform from self-doubt into confidence. Mathematics becomes far less intimidating when students experience it as a logical language rather than a set of rigid rules. My lessons focus on helping learners build strong understanding in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus foundations, and problem-solving strategies through calm, structured explanation. I guide students in recognizing patterns, developing reasoning skills, and approaching challenges with confidence rather than fear. Each session is designed to feel supportive, motivating, and intellectually clear.
My teaching approach adapts to each student’s level and learning style. Beginners strengthen number sense, equations, and basic algebra through step-by-step practice. Intermediate learners develop fluency with functions, graphs, coordinate geometry, and multi-step word problems. Advanced students refine deeper topics such as calculus methods, linear algebra reasoning, proof thinking, and exam strategy. Every lesson includes guided exercises, correction feedback, and clear explanation so progress feels steady and achievable.
