About Anna Marie
I am a recently retired math educator with 35 years of experience teaching and tutoring students across a wide range of abilities, from special education to honors-level learners. Throughout my career, I developed a strong understanding of IEPs and 504 plans and worked to ensure every student felt supported, confident, and capable. Teaching has always been my passion, and nothing has been more rewarding than seeing students reach their “aha” moments and begin to love math as I do. Outside of education, I enjoy traveling with my husband, spending time with my three grown children, and caring for our dog and cat—along with our chickens, cows, pigs, and bees.

I bring 35 years of experience teaching mathematics from kindergarten through Algebra 2, with a focus on developing strong number sense and mathematical reasoning. Students learn why the math works, not just how to find the answer, building confidence, deeper understanding, and lasting success. Throughout my career, I have always put students first. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and seeking help. By tailoring instruction to each individual and asking prerequisite questions to understand where they are, I meet students at their level and address their specific learning needs.
