About Leon
I know exactly how you feel, because I have been in your position. Looking at a question, and knowing that there is no way to get to the answer without understanding how to get there. Maths is unforgiving and precise, but it can be beautiful too. Do not fear! My teaching style can adapt to all people, of all ages.
★ I have experience with tutoring adults
I go to Aston University to study Mathematics, and regularly find myself helping other mature students who are not so sure about the subject, or haven't studied Maths in years. My clear approach is one that anyone can work with, and I tend to give suttle tests throughout the period to make sure we are going in a positive direction to UNDERSTANDING!
★ I have experience with tutoring children
I have tutored Maths and English for children at several schools across Birmingham and Solihull. I particularly like to work with children because I am aware that my teaching will have an influence on their confidence in Mathematics in the future. I had an amazing Maths teacher growing up, and I am aware that me being at university studying Maths has a direct link to her teachings. I have an up-to-date DBS, and full UK ID (Passport & Driving licence).

I tend to adapt my teaching methods to the student, since I am well aware that we all learn differently. I will usually assess what level the student is at first, with some general problem solving tasks, and then begin my teachings from there, homing in on any misunderstandings until we can confidently answer similar questions independently.
It works best for the student to provide me with the syllabus and information on their place of study and exam governors, so we can practice exercises in line with their criteria.
