About Spencer

I am currently a college student studying mathematics. It is my strongest educational subject, and though I do not have a degree in it, I have a large amount of practical experience tutoring any grade of math up through 12th grade single variable calculus (Calc-1 and Calc-2). I have never tutored a person who did not at least pass their next test.

About the lesson

Most people would be very surprised by my more relaxed structure of teaching. I generally ask students to show up to a lesson with specific homework assignments, past tests, or a review sheet for a future test, and from there I will gauge how strong they are on every topic. Afterwards, I will let my student begin working on their weakest points as I thoroughly manage their work until they can do it perfectly. This method allows the student to remain engaged in their learning process (instead of just listening to me drone on), while still having a safety net to fall back to when stuck. Additionally this method is completely tailored for the students needs as far as getting the highest possible grade in a class, as well as laying a foundation for easier learning the future topics. I began utilizing this method in high school, and developed it through a calculus students perspective, as opposed to the teacher's. This is why students typically prefer this method much more.

Students from any level up through Calculus 1 and 2 have the same rate. Cancellation for refund must occur at least 24 hours in advance of lesson. Cannot travel outside of a 20 mile radius.
