About Ellie
I am currently working in a financial industry after graduating with a 2:1 in mathematics from Cardiff university. I studied maths, further maths, physics and chemistry at A level. I’m living in Cardiff and would be happy to do sessions online or in-person - I am DBS checked and first aid trained.

I am an experienced tutor who’s worked mainly with key stage 3 children. I have found that spending more time understanding underlying mathematical concepts give students the skills they need to tackle unfamiliar problems in the future. So my lessons begin with a discussion and explanation of the topic. Which I followed by some simple exercises to build confidence and fluency. Finally I like to tackle one difficult question with the student and give them to try at home.

Ellie is an incredibly down to earth person who can provide helpful tutoring and support for school level maths. I can attest that she is a trustworthy and competent tutor having known her for years now. Ellie helped me with my maths A-Levels, particularly the later core modules, but given her experience she can give the extra support teachers don't have time for with all age groups.
