About Max
I am currently studying applied mathematics at the university of Hawaii. For 2 years I worked as the lead instructor at Mathnasium, an after-school program for math tutoring and enrichment. In my time there I worked with students ages 4-18 and taught everything from the fundamentals to multi-variable calculus. I put an emphasis on giving students all the tools they need to approach any mathematics subject with confidence!

I tailor my approach based on the specific needs and goals of each student. My priority is start by looking at a students foundations and working to strengthen their skills from the ground up. I find that once students have the appropriate foundational knowledge for a class, they have more confidence to tackle whatever challenges come their way. Everybody has a natural number sense, they just have to work it out and make it strong!
