About Ivy
My fascination with mathematics began with patterns, logic, and problem-solving puzzles. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics followed by an M.Sc in Statistical Modelling, providing both theoretical and applied expertise. Over 9 years, I have guided students across levels, helping them develop analytical skills, conceptual understanding, and confidence in mathematical thinking.
I teach with clarity, patience, and interactive engagement. Lessons combine visual explanations, stepwise guidance, and practical exercises to make abstract concepts tangible. I encourage independent thinking, curiosity, and active exploration, fostering competence and confidence in learners.
Outside teaching, I engage with mathematical modelling, problem-solving competitions, and applied projects, bringing real-world relevance into lessons. Witnessing students transform confusion into understanding, mastering complex topics, and gaining analytical skills is highly rewarding. I aim to develop mathematically confident learners who can approach both academic and real-world problems with skill and creativity.

Mathematics is the foundation of logical reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical thinking. In my lessons, I help learners explore algebra, probability, calculus, and applied problem-solving through interactive examples, visualisations, and real-life applications. Each session focuses on understanding underlying principles, building conceptual clarity, and developing confidence. By learning to approach problems methodically, students acquire skills that extend beyond exams, equipping them to tackle complex challenges independently.
I adapt lessons for each learner. Beginners focus on basic equations, arithmetic, and visualisation techniques, establishing a solid foundation. Intermediate learners engage with functions, graph analysis, and combinatorics, strengthening analytical reasoning. Advanced learners explore probability modelling, applied statistics, and optimisation problems, cultivating independent thought and problem-solving confidence. Each class emphasises reasoning, practical exercises, and conceptual understanding to ensure learners develop a lasting skill set.
Mathematics lessons also nurture critical thinking, logical reasoning, and structured problem-solving.
