About Esther
About Me
Hello! I’m Esther, a passionate Mathematics tutor and Mathematics graduate from Nigeria. I believe that every student can understand Mathematics when concepts are explained clearly, patiently, and in a way that matches their learning style.
My lessons are interactive, supportive, and student-centered. I break difficult topics into simple steps, use practical examples and visual explanations, and give students plenty of opportunities to practice. I encourage questions and mistakes because they are an important part of learning.
Whether you need help with schoolwork, want to improve your understanding of Mathematics, or are preparing for examinations, I will work with you to build your knowledge, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
I teach students from primary and secondary school levels, including JSS and SSS students. My goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand why the answer is correct and become more confident in Mathematics.

I use a student/teacher-centered and interactive approach to teaching Mathematics. I first identify the learner’s current level and areas of difficulty, then explain concepts step-by-step using simple language and practical examples. I encourage students to ask questions, participate actively, and solve problems independently. I also use visual representations, worked examples, exercises, quizzes, and regular feedback to make Mathematics easier and more enjoyable.
Typical Lesson Length
My typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, structured to include revision, introduction of the new concept, guided practice, independent practice, and a short assessment or recap.
Qualifications and Experience
I am a Mathematics graduate and tutor from Nigeria with experience teaching Mathematics to students at different levels. I have prepared students for classroom assessments and examinations while helping them build confidence, improve problem-solving skills, and develop a stronger understanding of mathematical concepts.
