I have taught high school mathematics at all levels for 20 plus years. For part of my career I lead a 34 person mathematics department. It was my responsibility to mentor and develop new teachers while designing and facilitating professional development.

My teaching method is very analytical. I present topics and quickly give students the opportunity to express their understanding. I then design material that addresses what is needed to met their specific need. Often compare/contrast is used to help clarify.
