About Tatum
My interest in mathematics began with a fascination for numbers and logical thinking. This passion led me to pursue a Master’s in Mathematics, where I gained a deeper understanding of various mathematical concepts. Over the past 7 years, I have taught students from different levels, helping them improve their skills and confidence in math.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity, patience, and support. I break down complex problems into simple steps so students can understand them easily. I use examples, practice exercises, and clear explanations to make lessons effective. I also encourage students to ask questions and think independently, which helps them develop strong problem-solving skills.
Outside teaching, I continue to explore new methods to improve my teaching. This helps me keep my lessons engaging and effective. Teaching math is rewarding because I see students grow in confidence and understanding. My goal is to make math a subject that students feel comfortable with and succeed in.

My math lessons are designed to help students understand concepts clearly and build confidence step by step. I begin with basic topics such as numbers, algebra, and geometry, explaining each idea in a simple and structured way. I focus on helping students understand the logic behind problems instead of memorizing formulas. Real-life examples are used to make concepts easier to relate to and remember. I create a calm and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
As students progress, I introduce more advanced topics like trigonometry, calculus, and complex problem-solving. I guide them through each step, helping them break down problems and find solutions in a clear way. Practice is an important part of my lessons, and I provide exercises that improve accuracy and speed. I also explain mistakes carefully so students can learn from them and improve their understanding.
My goal is to make math simple and manageable for every learner. Math helps students develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills. Many students gain confidence as they begin solving problems independently. My aim is to help students enjoy math, build strong foundations, and achieve success in their studies.
