About Lia
My passion for Mathematics began with fascination for patterns, logical structures, and problem-solving. I pursued an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics to deepen my understanding of advanced concepts and enhance my teaching methodology. Over 12 years, I have guided learners from elementary school math through middle school, SAT math preparation, and introductory Calculus, helping them achieve clarity, confidence, and independent analytical thinking. I teach with patience, adaptability, and close attention to each student’s learning style. I use visual models, practical examples, and stepwise reasoning to make complex concepts understandable. I foster curiosity, encourage experimentation, and treat mistakes as learning opportunities, building resilience, confidence, and problem-solving skills. Outside the classroom, I actively engage in mathematics through problem-solving, curriculum development, and continuous study. Teaching Math is deeply rewarding because I witness learners develop independence, logical reasoning, and self-assurance. Supporting students in achieving mastery and realizing their potential is the most fulfilling aspect of my work.

Mathematics becomes meaningful and enjoyable when learners are guided to understand the reasoning behind each concept. My lessons cover elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, SAT math, and Calculus, emphasizing step-by-step problem-solving, logical thinking, and conceptual clarity. I create a patient and supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and gradually build confidence in solving diverse mathematical challenges.
Lesson content is tailored to the learner’s level. Elementary school math focuses on number sense, basic arithmetic, and interpreting word problems. Middle school math introduces geometry, proportional reasoning, and foundational algebra through visual examples and interactive exercises. Advanced learners work on algebraic manipulation, SAT math strategies, and introductory Calculus concepts, emphasizing logical reasoning, accuracy, and practical application. Carefully selected exercises reinforce understanding and cultivate independent problem-solving skills.
Maths lessons also foster patience, analytical thinking, and perseverance. As learners gain clarity, they approach new challenges independently and confidently. Many students develop an appreciation for mathematics as a structured, logical, and rewarding discipline.
