About Timothy
I am 23 years old and I'm a student with a integrative physiology degree from the University of Colorado Boulder, which in turn will allow me to pursue any career I'd like in the medical field. My best subjects in school are math (algebra, geometry, trigonometry) and science (biology, chemistry). I have been a tutor for 2 years and have had 7 students. I have been very successful in passing on my knowledge to my students allowing them to learn, adapt, grow, and succeed in math and science by achieving A's in those subjects. My main goal is to make sure that I leave my students with the skills they need and a level of understanding of the subject that they're having difficulty with, in doing so allowing them to overcome it and develop new skills that will be beneficial to them now and in the future in any class that they may face.

My teaching method is by first getting to know the student by asking them questions like how difficult they find the subject in question is and in what ways is it difficult? After that I approach each topic by finding out what exactly they are learning then break the subject down to make it easier to understand, give an example, and go step by step on how I would solve it. I try to pass on my skills and knowledge then allow them to get some practice in, so it can sink in. Afterwards, I help guide them and allow them to do their own thinking to see if they can think outside the box and develop their own skills. If I see them getting off track a little, I help guide them back to the right track by giving hints to allow them to find their own solution. I base my classes on trying to make the subject relatable and practical to the student and how they may use it in their lives.
