About Louis
I have graduated with a Master of Science degree in Mathematical Physics at Maynooth University, achieving First Class Honours (1:1), and previously graduated with First Class Honours in Mathematical Sciences from TU Dublin. I have been passionate about mathematics and physics from a young age, and my academic background spans a wide range of topics, including Statistics, Calculus, Probability, Geometry, Trigonometry, Number Theory and Linear Algebra. I believe that developing strong mathematical skills is fundamentally about learning how to approach problems logically and confidently. As a tutor, I aim to help students strengthen their problem-solving abilities, build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. I am passionate about supporting both Leaving Certificate and undergraduate students who are looking to improve their mathematical skills and reach their academic goals.

I believe being good at Maths is all about being good at problem-solving. My tutoring focuses on helping students understand concepts by working through examples together, rather than just listening to lectures. I aim to build confidence, encourage critical thinking, and help students develop their own problem-solving skills. No question is ever a silly one, and every mistake is a chance to learn and improve.
All lessons are online, so students can learn comfortably from home with flexible scheduling. I use OneNote to write and share solutions in real time while sharing my screen on MS Teams.
