About Andrea
My name is Andrea Perez. I was born and raised in Compton California. I graduated in 2017 from Cal State Long Beach with a bachelors in ethnic studies. I then went to USC and graduated with a masters in social work in 2019. A few months from graduation I applied to a school and began to work there. I was interested in teaching and applied for a substitute permit. I've been working there ever since but these past years I developed epilepsy and I didn't want to risk my students or myself which is why I am looking for an alternative.

I know that math can be very difficult for students and having some extra support can help them better understand the content. I enjoy teaching math and try make it as engaging as possible to get students attention. I also like for students to feel comfortable and to ask for help or repetitions when needed.
