About Kaleigh
I am currently in the process of getting into a Dental Hygiene program. I have always been in between becoming an elementary teacher and a dental hygienist. I ended up pursuing a career in dental hygiene in hopes of getting a teaching degree later in life. My ultimate dream is to become an elementary teacher during the school year and a dental hygienist over the summer.

I am best at helping kids in grades pre-K to 3rd grade.
I first found that I enjoy helping kids while working at a kid's club in a gym. There was a kid who dreaded doing his homework because he didn't understand. This kid's dad told us not to let him play on his tablet til his homework was finished. I would help him and all the other kids who brought homework in.
In high school, I took a class where I was able to assist teachers in the classroom; I'd walk around and answer questions along with other tasks. I looked forward to going and helping in the classrooms because seeing kids have that "light-bulb" moment where they understand something is so rewarding.
When helping a kid understand something, I try to incorporate things they enjoy, but I don't force the incorporation because forcing it makes the connection seem insincere.
