I am a versatile individual and teacher, working in PhD level mathematics. I encourage curiosity and pursuit of questions as a way to understand the material. I am also an accomplished engineer. I play the guitar, piano, and drums. I also dance and paint watercolors. I am interested in the theory of knowledge and the process of learning - maybe learning how to learn.

My goal in working with you is helping you understand ideas from the most basic to the most complex - so that your understanding is immediately intuitive, while delving into details as much as it's needed. It won't be blind application of formulas or methods but to create in you a love for mathematics so that it may have a life of its own. We don't know what such a love of the subject can create for you, not just pass exams and homework, while that is important too. I like to use everyday science and common observation to aid learning and interest that demonstrates that math can be found everywhere around us. This will allow you to be creative and structured at the same time, while being extremely useful.
