About Abhay
I have 10+ years of tutoring math and science, from elementary schoolers to advanced college students. Here's some of my teaching experience: - I have been a teaching assistant and physics instructor at the university level for 9 semesters. - I've been a university tutor in 46 courses for 12 semesters and counting. - I've tutored 2 students in SAT math prep, with both receiving 1580+ out of 1600 scores. - I helped teach a high school AP Physics I class for a year. - I teach and mentor elementary & middle schoolers as a member of The Education Project. "Give someone a fish and you feed them for a day. Teach them how to fish and you feed them for a lifetime." Rather than show you how to do specific problems, I strive to build a general understanding of the subject and explain the "why" behind the problems. Goal: Long term, the goal is to help students become independent and reach a point where students don't need these sessions any longer. Strategy: During our tutoring sessions, I will identify your deficiencies in the given subject while you work, and we will work on tackling those areas as we continue the tutoring and progressing with the subject.

Perfect! In depth explanations. Clear and concise. Does not dismiss learning gaps that you have. When you have a learning gap and can’t connect underlying ideas that are implied, but not stated in assessments and classes, Abhay easily explains the gap and brings you where you need to be.
Perfect! He seems to have a strong knowledge of the subject matter. He also seems to be very patient with my son who struggles through some of the concepts.
