About Alexyss
I am currently working full time as a long term substitute teacher for 7th grade life science and recently graduated from Bridgewater College with my Bachelors' degree in biology. In college I worked as a laboratory assistant and help tutoring sessions multiple times a week for introductory biology students. I have experience tutoring middle school science, high school biology and introductory college biology and have helped students achieve higher grades on their tests and lab practicums. My specialty is in ecology, conservation and organismal biology, but I have completed coursework in anatomy, physiology and genetics as well.

My tutoring method revolves around solidifying the basic knowledge needed for each class and where the problems arise in understanding. For each class we will spend time going over the building blocks of the content and then go deeper into understanding. I also help students organize their studies and coursework so they can efficiently study and learn the topics for tests and exams.
