I believe in a holistic, multi-modal, and accessible approach to tutoring. I blend student-led and tutor-led methodologies. It is my belief that an interconnected, confidence-led, and strength-first approach to learning generates the greatest outcomes.
I tutor: Academic Writing, English, History, and occasionally, Creative Writing, Journalism, Social Sciences, Geography, and Philosophy.
Although I typically tutor Grades 9-12, college, and undergraduate, I can work with older and younger students. I have particular experience with neurodivergent students and students with disabilities.
A lesson plan might look like:
- A 5-10 min check-in with time to address questions and confirm the session's focus
- A combination of mini-lectures and application
- Practicals to develop or improve skills
- A wind-down with a question period (and take-home practicals as desired)

Details
I can commute as far as Kingston, Ottawa, or Cornwall for $15 extra.
There is no difference between online and in-person rates.
I require a minimum of three online sessions before I run sessions at my in-home studio. If you would like to work at a library or other public location, and would like to book a private room, the student is responsible for any costs and procedures for renting a room.
3 extra learning materials are available after each session for $15 a month. You can also require a bundle of learning materials for:
- 5 for $7.50
- 10 for $10
- 15 for $15
