About Trilo
Hi! I'm a passionate science educator with a background in Health Sciences and Kinesiology and graduate-level education at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
I've had the opportunity to teach students across a wide range of ages and academic levels, from elementary school to university. My experience includes working as a university physiology teaching assistant, teaching Biology and Chemistry at an education center, and introducing younger students to Biochemistry through interactive, hands-on lessons.
I understand that science can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when tackling complex concepts for the first time. That's why I prioritize creating a welcoming, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace.
Beyond teaching, my experience as a basketball coach and mentor has strengthened my ability to motivate students, recognize their individual strengths, and help them overcome challenges.
Whether you're looking to improve your grades, prepare for an important exam, or simply become more confident in science, I'm committed to helping you reach your goals while making learning an enjoyable experience!

With a strong academic background in Health Sciences and Kinesiology, graduate-level education at the University of British Columbia, and experience teaching science from elementary school to university, I specialize in making Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physiology engaging and easy to understand.
My teaching approach is personalized, interactive, and focused on building genuine understanding rather than memorization. I use real-world examples, visual diagrams, analogies, and practice questions to simplify complex scientific concepts while adapting to each student's learning style.
Each lesson begins with a review of challenging concepts, followed by guided explanations, interactive problem-solving, and practice questions to reinforce understanding. I encourage students to ask questions, make mistakes, and develop confidence in their abilities.
What sets me apart is my combination of advanced scientific knowledge and hands-on teaching experience. As a university physiology teaching assistant and science educator, I've learned how to make difficult material accessible, enjoyable, and relevant to everyday life.
I offer personalized lessons for Grades 1–12, whether students need help strengthening their foundations, improving their grades, or preparing for examinations.
My goal is simple: help students understand science, build confidence, and achieve academic success.
