About Aleks
I’m currently a master’s student at LSE, studying international relations. Having grown up and gone to school in Switzerland before moving to the U.K., I have had experience within both an IB and A-level environment. Similarly, my Polish-American dual citizenship means that I’ve been raised in very international contexts - a significant reason for my interest in global current affairs, political economy, and history. Prior to my master’s, I was a headhunter in London working with private equity firms to hire senior management within portfolio companies - meeting new people, fostering relationships and mutual learning are therefore deeply embedded values I have. Additionally, I’m actually a trained barista - so I love my coffee!

As I’m more concerned with creating a dialogue than a monologue, my lesson plans are focused on working alongside the student. What this means is that I encourage students to engage with material critically and analytically, where my role is to foster that engagement, challenge the student on their analysis, and help explain any concepts that they might be struggling with. This methodology simultaneously empowers students and motivates their strengths, whilst confronting their weaknesses and subsequently overcoming them.
