About Olinda
I am a Masters student in Development Studies at the University of Witwatersrand . I have 3 years tutoring experience from the university, teaching tutoring social sciences to undergraduate students. I have a TESL certificate as well as 1 year teaching English to Asian students. I have great knowledge in research, essay writing, analysis, and qualitative work. It’s important to understand each students strengths and weaknesses and retention skills. I prefer interactive teaching as opposed to information feeding. The use of examples and repetition is ideal for better understanding of work material. After all, practice makes perfect. In group teachings I apply the same interactive style of teaching and ensure that every student is given an opportunity to contribute to the class. I encourage students to ask as many questions as possible and alert me of anything they do not understand.
