About Jose
I’m an engineer with a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and currently work in the semiconductor industry. I graduated from Arizona State University, where I built a strong foundation in math, physics, and problem-solving. I enjoy helping students understand challenging concepts in a clear and practical way, based on how these ideas are actually used in engineering.
Outside of work, I’m into powerlifting and staying active, which has taught me discipline, consistency, and the value of steady progress—ideas I bring into tutoring as well. I also enjoy hiking, learning new things, and exploring topics like computational fluid dynamics (CFD). I’m patient, approachable, and focused on helping students build both confidence and strong fundamentals.

I teach math and physics with a focus on clarity, intuition, and real understanding—not memorization. I hold a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and currently work in the semiconductor industry, where math and physics are applied daily to solve real problems.
My lessons are structured around the student’s goals, whether that’s improving grades, preparing for exams, or building confidence in fundamentals. A typical lesson starts by identifying gaps, followed by step-by-step explanations, worked examples, and guided practice. I emphasize why equations work, not just how to use them.
I work with middle school, high school, AP, and early college students. My approach is patient, practical, and adapted to each student’s learning style.
