About Ellie
I have just graduated from my Masters in Broadcast Journalism from NTU where I achieved a Distinction, and I have a First-class degree in English and History from the University of Nottingham. I have always loved words - writing them, reading them and analysing them. I had a tutor myself for my A-Level English Lang and Lit, eventually getting an A. This means I know first-hand just how important the right tutor can be for inspiring confidence and guiding young people in the right direction!
I have three younger siblings so I love working with young people of all ages - I also have experience proof-reading university-level essays for friends.

Because English can be so subjective, I know it can be disheartening when you think you aren't quite getting it right.
I give one-on-one lessons for students at primary, secondary, GCSE and A-Level over Zoom. I am flexible with my working hours, so can usually fit around your schedule.
I work closely with students to guide them to the answers themselves - this means getting them to try answering questions or analysing texts first, then looking at the key themes and context around the texts, then giving personalised feedback and catering our weekly activities to how each individual student works best.
