About Thomas
From my own experience, I understand how much excellent teaching can influence grades. I learnt through my education that an interest in a subject is a driving factor in succeeding. Studying for my own A-Levels and degree has taught me that diving beyond the facts into real-life examples provides a depth of understanding which helps you work things out for yourself. This is a far better strategy than closing your eyes and trying to remember those words you wrote on a flashcard, however many weeks ago! Real life application makes studying much more interesting.

My sessions are adapted to each student’s goals and learning style. We usually begin by reviewing any difficult topics we identified in prior weeks (if this is the first lesson, we will work this out). I then explain key concepts using diagrams and worked examples. Finally, we will use real exam-style questions to reinforce understanding and keep the lesson relevant to the exam board.
Having been in higher education for many years now, I know all the tips and tricks for effective revision, and I will help the student plan and revise effectively while delivering lessons.
We finish each session by discussing the next session so we can hit the ground running next time. My aim is to make complex topics feel manageable and help you develop strong exam technique, confidence and revision skills.
