About Grace
Hi there! My name is Grace and I am a tutor who cares deeply about student progress. I develop individualised programmes based on student need that take into account how best you learn and what stage of your learning journey you are at. I strive to make every session fun, engaging and interactive so as to promote learning and a positive attitude.

1hr - 1hr 30 min sessions in which your student would tackle spelling, reading or writing, based on area of concern, or a mixture of the three. I have a structured literacy approach to my teaching, which means teaching in phonetic chunks rather than rote memorisation. It is important to me that sessions are fun, engaging and interactive so as to maintain student interest and develop a positive attitude toward learning.
I have a Masters of Teaching and Learning from Otago University, and have been tutoring in literacy for the past year. I specialize in primary level (ages 5 - 11) and have an ethos of mutual respect and student agency that is maintained in each and every session.
