About Etienne
I have a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with 26 years industry experience. So have a very good understanding of mathematics and physics. I take the tutoring (and mentoring) of students seriously. I also believe in knowledge transfer and that even a small amount of tutoring can go a long way. I come from a family of academics that dedicated their professional lives to teaching and guiding the younger generations to become the best that they can be. This is my way of continuing that legacy.

My lessons will initially concentrate on finding out the level of knowledge and understanding of the subject matter. This will be done by interaction with the students through questions and discussions. Based on the outcome I will interactively go through explaining the theory and going through practical examples showing in detail the steps leading to the solution at the level of the student’s knowledge and understanding. This will be done in a manner that will keep the student engaged through interactive discussion. To further develop the student’s understanding I will also then assist the student with helping him/her with problems/homework they have issues with.
