About Monty
I love all things books, literature, history, art and politics. I will help my students, with some luck, find their own love for such things, as I have done. I believe in the process of finding your own passions, and when this happens, your achievements can, and will, come naturally. If my teaching can point you in the right direction of finding your passion, then I will consider my classes a success.

At the heart of my approach to teaching is to focus on the needs of the student. No matter if we are exploring a new text, a legal problem or a historical analysis, I will always work around the student to ensure they are getting the best outcome. I hope to make classes fun and meaningful by looking at the bigger picture of concerning the literature, laws or historical events. I am currently undertaking a Masters of Creative Writing, Publishing & Editing at the University of Melbourne, and my work has been published in Cordite and SWAMP. In 2023, I received the Christos Poetry Prize. I previously worked as a lawyer.
