About Kimberly
I teach because music is a language that everyone deserves to speak fluently. My goal is to bridge the gap between technical ability and genuine expression.
I hold a BM from Boston Conservatory at Berklee with piano as my main focus. Over 13 years of experience, I have taught 160 students from all walks of life. I specialize in helping self-taught players, adults, and exam candidates.

Many students struggle with the awkward transition between reading notes and actually feeling the rhythm of a piece. My method relies on my 13 years of experience as a pianist who also studied voice to help you phrase your melodies like a singer would. We focus on specific technical hurdles like pedalling technique and sight playing while keeping your goals for ABRSM or Trinity exams in mind. Because I believe that understanding the structure of a song is vital, I provide free access to my annotated practice notes after every lesson so you can review the session details at home.
This keeps your progress steady as we move through challenging chord voicings and coordinate your hand independence for more advanced repertoire. You will gain the confidence to play contemporary pieces with a professional touch.
