About Sole
As a violin tutor with 18+ years of experience, I have successfully taught around 300 students from different backgrounds and age groups, including high school students, college learners, and adults. My teaching approach is based on patience, flexibility, and encouragement, as I believe that every student has the ability to learn and improve.
I focus on teaching strong fundamentals such as posture, bow control, finger placement, and tone production, while also helping students understand rhythm and musical expression. I make sure lessons are simple, clear, and easy to follow.
One of my key achievements is helping students overcome challenges and build confidence in their playing. I aim to create a learning experience that is both enjoyable and effective.

I teach violin with a focus on communication, personalised guidance, and hands-on learning. I assess each student’s abilities, learning style, and goals to adapt lessons that maximise understanding and enjoyment. I cover essential techniques such as posture, bowing, fingering, intonation, tone production, phrasing, and musical expression while encouraging creative interpretation.
I incorporate real-life examples such as performing songs, practising with recordings, and understanding music’s emotional and storytelling aspects to make lessons meaningful.
Alongside violin, I teach supporting subjects including music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic piano skills to provide a complete musical education. My goal is to create a structured, inspiring, and motivating environment where students develop confidence, skill, and a passion for music.
