About Callum

I am a dedicated flute tutor who believes learning music should be inspiring, creative, and enjoyable. My teaching focuses on technical skill, self-expression, and critical thinking. I help students improve tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control while encouraging musical exploration. I also teach music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to strengthen overall musicianship. Creativity is central to my lessons, including improvisation, composition, and expressive exercises. Accountability ensures students set goals, practise consistently, and track their progress. Mistakes are treated as opportunities for learning and growth. I adapt my teaching methods to each student’s pace, level, and personality. I act as a mentor, offering guidance, motivation, and support in every class.

I also teach related subjects like performance skills, theory, and rhythm. I create a positive, encouraging, and inspiring learning environment. Students are motivated to explore, reflect, and express themselves musically. My goal is to help students perform confidently and creatively while enjoying their musical journey.

About the lesson

My goal is to inspire students to love the flute and continue growing as musicians and thinkers.
