About Lucy Y
With over 9 years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer, I have a strong foundation in Java, JavaScript, Python, and various databases. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering with a 3.76 GPA and I am currently pursuing my Master's in the same field with a 4.0 GPA. My passion for teaching began in high school where I tutored math, physics, and eventually computer science to individuals and groups ranging from ages 10 to 40. As a Principal Engineer, mentoring others is a key aspect of my role, and I strive to instill problem-solving skills, industry best practices, and a strong engineering mindset in my students. My approach to tutoring is focused on teaching students to think like engineers, guiding them towards independence in their learning journey.
