About Valerie
I've earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science with distinction and I am currently a Master of Science (thesis) student expected to graduate summer of 2019. I've received academic and research scholarships at both the undergraduate and graduate level and I've been tutoring since my 3rd year of undergrad. I am also formally a teaching assistant throughout graduate school, and was recently a guest lecturer for my human anatomy class. I was rated 4.85/5 on my teaching evaluations by my first year undergraduate biology students and my evaluations for the most recent anatomy course I taught will be available in May 2019. I love teaching and I'm currently exploring it as a long term career goal.

I have been a student all my life, so I understand how frustrating it can be when something just isn't sticking to you! I know what topics students commonly have trouble with and remember the methods I used to help me navigate those same problems. My goal is to simplify concepts for my students so they can perform well on their evaluations, while making it fun and engaging at the same time!
