About MONICA

Master in Plastic Arts, interested in research-creation processes between art and science, which has led her to work in a transversal way with neurosciences, making use of interactive and prototyped installations for the development of her artistic work. His interest in the construction of the image and perception of reality has allowed her to work with other languages such as: drawing, photography, video, programming and other media. As an emerging artist her research and interests with V.P.E. allowed her to receive an invitation to do a residency at CERN (Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire) in Geneva, Switzerland. Through a collaboration between the Suratomic program and (concealed information) in 2019. Winner of the Circulation grant in plastic arts - 2nd stage, international category.

She is currently developing his next project "Quantum", which was born from his stay at CERN. Additionally, she has been a finalist in the Ubisoft Residency Program 2020 at Red Storm Entertainment, Cary, North Carolina (USA) , and was mentioned in Terremoto Magazine thanks to her research project earlier this year.

On the other hand, she has knowledge in the coordination of cultural projects and independent publishing houses that have allowed her to publish some articles in magazines and local boards corresponding to the artistic and cultural scene of the capital city.

I have been encouraged to try out the platform, as it is rewarding to be able to teach the knowledge acquired to people who also want to obtain it.

About the lesson

My method starts from theoretical and practical components, since I consider that both are necessary in order to develop a much more complete learning. Like all learning, it is vitally important to me to know the needs and motivations of the student. In this way I build the classes according to these motivations, interests or needs of the student. Additionally, my method focuses on finding and enhancing the qualities or virtues. In controversial knowledge with conjunctural situations to develop optimal and critical learning. I am not interested in being condescending within my method. Well, I hope to start from the clarity of expectations. Otherwise, as a private teacher, I am very committed, I assume the challenge to correspond to the needs and / or expectations that the student hopes to achieve. The audience for my offer is anyone who wants to learn and challenge themselves.
