About Iñigo

I am a very patient person, and I believe to have the tools for simplifying concepts and adapting to the student. I consider myself a friendly person and always make sure people feel comfortable around me.
I am passionate about science and mathematics and this is the reason why I love teaching them. When I help someone learn these subjects, I feel like contributing to the overall knowledge of society and this makes me really happy. I feel fulfilled when I transmit my passion for science to students.
From my experience working in a school, I have learned how to adapt to different kinds of students and learning capabilities. Everyone has their own learning pace and this is a priority for me!

About the lesson

I usually cover some of the theoretical sides of the school syllabus to then perform some practical exercises with the student. I always make sure that the student knows how to handle a topic before moving to the next.
Classes would be 1 or 2 hours (this would be up to the student/guardian). The ideal scenario would be 40% of the time covered by theory (textbook revision, my explanation/simplification, solving any doubts... ), and 60% practice (this part is key in subjects like maths and physics). I would of course adapt to the necessities of each student, making sure harder concepts are comprehended.
I have been a teacher assistant at Oakwood Secondary School, thanks to The Ogden Trust internship. I have also tutored younger family members and other students when I live in Madrid (this includes some university students in the past months).
My lessons are focused mainly on students from Year 7 to 13 (i.e. GCSE and A-levels but also including slightly younger, from 11 to 18 years of age). I can teach maths for all levels, science for the syllabus of year 7 to year 9, and physics for year 10 and above (GCSE and A-levels). I can be helpful in chemistry for GCSE, even though this is not my expertise.

Perfect! Iñigo was punctual and polite. He seems to really know his subject well and he has quickly identified a focus for the next lesson with my son.
