About David

Graduated from the Toulouse Conservatory in classical percussion in 2015, I followed a Jazz and improvisation course in parallel.
Cumulating a total of 2 years of teaching in public and associative education (drums, percussions, music theory, improvisation), I practice today in parallel with a Research Master in Musicology.

I think the most important thing in learning is fun. It is proven that the brain learns and retains better, while keeping the desire to continue. Therefore, I pay a particular attention to the needs / desires of the student, and I choose an adapted mode of operation.

Of course there are parts that are funnier than others. In order to progress, it is my duty in 3 words to convince you and persuade (therefore make you want it) that it is good to go through this.Usually the course takes place in 3 parts. 1- Technical warm-up 2- renditions of the current song (s) 3- Learning the suite or a new adapted piece.

Due to my background, I am used to work in writing music. But this for the purpose of autonomy! To learn to speak better, it is good to know how to read and write.
Having said that there are some fabulous musicians who cannot read a note. Thanks to my Jazz course, I learned to teach without written support.
