About Florence
Music occupies every corner of my daily life since I was a small child. I am a concept first teacher at heart. My Berklee College of Music degree informs how I approach jazz improvisation and music theory alongside fundamental posture and hand position.
Beyond those mechanics, I guide students through the nuances of dynamics and expression, rhythm and timing, plus effective memorization techniques. I also cover pop and contemporary styles alongside rigorous ear training to round out your ability. My teaching is built on the simple 8.0 standard of excellence I maintain for every single student. You will find that technique flows naturally when the joy of playing remains central to our work.

Many pianists struggle to connect their physical movement to the emotional output of the instrument. I fix these mechanical blocks by starting with a diagnostic playing assessment before we set a learning plan.
During our time together, we will break down complex pieces into manageable segments using my 13 years of experience. We refine your approach to rhythm, timing, and phrasing to ensure you perform with genuine confidence within a single term.
