About Taalanjali

Hello! I'm Taalanjali Thakur, a professionally trained Indian flute (Bansuri) teacher with a strong academic background in music and a passion for helping students discover the joy of playing the flute.

I hold Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music and received my formal training from the Faculty of Performing Arts, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, one of India's most respected institutions for Indian classical music.

Coming from a musical family, I have been surrounded by music since childhood, which has given me a deep understanding of rhythm, melody, musical expression, and performance techniques. Along with my academic training, I have 8–10 years of teaching experience, working with students of different ages and backgrounds.

My teaching philosophy is based on patience, clarity, and personalized guidance. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit each individual's pace, goals, and learning style. My objective is not only to teach flute techniques but also to help students build confidence, musical understanding, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

About the lesson

My online flute lessons are specially designed for beginners and intermediate learners who want to build a strong foundation through a well-organized learning system. Each lesson follows a carefully planned curriculum, allowing students to progress naturally from one concept to the next.

We begin with the fundamentals—how to hold the flute correctly, proper posture, breath control, and producing a clear sound. As your confidence grows, you'll move on to finger techniques, scales, exercises, rhythm, and beautiful melodies, with each lesson building upon the previous one.

To support your learning, you'll receive practice materials, lesson notes, and exercises after every class. The curriculum is structured to help you practise effectively and achieve steady improvement.

All sessions are conducted one-to-one online, so every lesson is personalized to your learning pace, goals, and progress. My aim is to make learning enjoyable, systematic, and rewarding while helping you develop strong musical skills and confidence.
