Hi! I’m Val, a Master’s graduate in Cancer Research & Precision Oncology from the University of Glasgow. With a BSc in Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Zoology, plus teaching experience, I specialise in helping students build confidence and master complex topics in: Biology & Chemistry (GCSE and A-level) University-level subjects: molecular biology, cancer biology, and biochemistry Based in Glasgow, available online UK-wide and in-person locally. My teaching is friendly, structured and fully tailored to each student’s needs. I start by understanding the student’s exam board, syllabus and current level, then build lessons around clear explanations, diagrams, real-life examples and practice questions. I use active learning: encouraging students to ask questions, think critically and make connections between topics (e.g., linking molecular biology with disease). For exam students, we also focus on exam technique and past paper practice. My background in research helps me bring science to life and show its real-world applications.
