About Chand

I am a passionate and experienced Science Lecturer with over 20 years of teaching experience, a PhD in Chemical Engineering and a PGCE in Further Education and Skills.

Throughout my career, I have taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics at GCSE, A-level and vocational levels, helping students of different abilities develop confidence and achieve their academic goals.

I currently teach Science at Bolton College and have previously taught at other further education institutions. I also founded and managed a successful tuition centre for 14 years, supporting young learners with their education.

Alongside teaching, I have a strong background in scientific research, biomedical sciences and chemical engineering. I enjoy bringing real-world science into my lessons, helping students understand how scientific concepts relate to everyday life.

I am particularly passionate about supporting students who lack confidence, struggle with difficult topics or need a different approach to learning. I believe every student has the potential to succeed when given the right encouragement, guidance and teaching methods.

For me, teaching is not simply about passing exams. It is about inspiring curiosity, building confidence and helping students believe in their own abilities.

About the lesson

My science lessons are engaging, interactive and tailored to each student's individual needs, learning style and academic goals.

With over 20 years of teaching experience, a PhD in Chemical Engineering and a PGCE, I specialise in making Biology, Chemistry and Physics easier to understand and enjoyable to learn.

Each lesson begins by identifying your strengths and areas for improvement. I use clear, step-by-step explanations, visual resources, real-life examples and interactive activities to help you understand even the most challenging scientific concepts.

My lessons focus on:

Building confidence and a strong understanding of science.

Preparing for GCSE and A-level examinations.

Developing effective revision and exam techniques.

Practising past-paper questions and improving exam answers.

Providing personalised feedback and support.

I create a friendly and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

My goal is simple: to turn confusion into confidence and help every student achieve their full potential in science!
