About Leila

I’m a French tutor with a PhD in French Linguistics and 3 years of experience teaching teens. I love working with students aged 13 to 18 because I know how powerful language can be when it feels personal and fun. My lessons go beyond grammar drills—I bring in French music, Gen Z slang, movie clips, and social media to make the language feel real. Whether we’re decoding song lyrics or acting out scenes from a teen film, students stay engaged and excited. I teach contemporary vocabulary and conversation skills that teens can relate to and remember. Slang and everyday phrases are part of every session, helping students feel like they truly get the language. I adapt my teaching style to meet each student’s learning pace and personality. With a strong background in linguistics, I make sure students understand why French works the way it does. My classroom is a judgment-free zone where they’re free to make mistakes and grow. About the lesson

My French lessons are designed to spark creativity while building solid language skills. I work with learners who use French for music, theatre, and other expressive arts. We dive into everything from lyrics and poetry to dialogue and stage direction. I focus on expressive pronunciation, rhythm, and emotional delivery.
Each session is a mix of structured practice and playful exploration. You’ll get grammar and vocabulary—but also improv, interpretation, and scene work. I help you develop both technique and artistry in how you speak French. Lessons feel like rehearsals and performances combined.
I especially support Conversationalists and Exam Takers who want to speak with confidence and purpose. My method is supportive, imaginative, and highly engaging.
