Hello and welcome! I’m Simone, a qualified language tutor with a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature and a TEFL certification. With over four years of teaching experience, I’m passionate about helping students improve their English skills, whether for academic success, career advancement, or everyday communication. My approach is student-focused, tailoring lessons to your needs and making learning engaging and effective. I teach English, Business English, and general language skills, ensuring that each lesson is clear, supportive, and designed to build your confidence. Fluent in English, Afrikaans, and conversational French, I offer lessons in any of these languages. I’m here to help you succeed and reach your language goals with a personalized and positive learning experience. Let’s get started!

About the lesson

As a passionate and experienced tutor, my approach to private lessons centers around creating an interactive, supportive, and engaging environment that makes learning enjoyable and effective. I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to their individual needs, helping them grasp complex concepts in a way that suits their unique learning style.

My methodology combines structured lesson plans with creative activities, ensuring students are actively engaged while progressing at their own pace. I make use of real-world examples, integrating my global travel experiences and cultural insights, to enhance lessons, particularly in Business English. My focus on pronunciation, language fluency, and confidence-building helps students feel comfortable using English in diverse situations.

Fluent in English, Afrikaans, and conversational French, I am able to teach in any of these languages, providing flexibility for learners from different linguistic backgrounds.

In a typical lesson, students can expect clear explanations, constructive feedback, and plenty of practice through conversation, reading, writing, and role-playing activities. I prioritize creating a positive and relaxed atmosphere where students feel encouraged to ask questions and practice without fear of making mistakes.

My lessons are ideal for high school students, university students, and adults seeking to improve their English language skills, whether for academic, professional, or personal development. I also specialize in Business English for learners aiming to enhance their communication skills in the workplace.

No matter the learning level, my focus is on building confidence, improving proficiency, and helping students achieve their language goals.
