About Anshul

Hey there, I am Anshul!

I am a software developer at Microsoft and an IIT Bombay grad. Over the years, I've interned with different companies, freelanced on projects, and picked up a lot of hands-on experience along the way.

Teaching is something I’m genuinely excited about. My style is pretty straightforward: I always look for the real-world reason behind what we’re learning. If it solves a problem, great — let’s dig in. If not, I don’t waste time on it. I also like to think from a developer’s perspective: if someone built this, what problem were they solving? Once you get that, you can figure out all the different ways to use it yourself.

I have taken workshops, study sessions, webinars, podcasts, private tutoring sessions, and more. So, you can rest assured, I know what I am doing.

About the lesson

I offer both one-on-one sessions and group classes, so you can choose the format that works best for you. My courses cover C, C++ and Python at all levels — from the basics to advanced concepts.

Your son has strong understanding of basic C and C++ terminology and concepts. He can solve beginner level problems that are asked in INOI as of today. He has a strong grasp of core concepts which are required to build into the complex concepts. From INOI syllabus point of view, I would say he has almost completed 15% of the syllabus.

I have looked into the past year INOI problems from the link you shared with me previously. Most of the problem lies in the intermediate range, and some problems goes upto advanced level. I expected the problems to be quite simpler considering the grade of the students, but this olympiad is quite advanced, and I dont feel 1 month is sufficient time to actually become comfortable with such advanced problems.

Your son doesn't have understanding about the data structures which are the foundation for attempting such questions in a competitive exam. So before even starting with the topics you have asked me to teach, I need to teach the data structures which are actually required to implement those concepts.

After which, to understand the concepts and to actually understand where to apply which concept, he needs to have idea about algorithm complexities and how to take hints from the question to understand which category of algorithms they are requesting.

Once he is upto this point, then I can begin to explain the algorithmic topics like greedy, dynamic programming, game theory, back tracking, etc.
